Georgetown University School of Medicine (GUSOM) is committed to educating a diverse student body, in an integrated way, to become knowledgeable, ethical, skillful, and compassionate physicians and biomedical students who are dedicated to the care of others and health needs of our society. In alignment with this mission, all applicants must meet the school’s technical standards for admission and are expected to provide an honest representation of themselves throughout the application process.

GUSOM reserves the right to rescind an offer of admission at any point prior to matriculation if the Admissions Committee determines that an applicant has engaged in behavior that materially and negatively reflects on their honesty or integrity (including, but not limited to, providing false, fraudulent, or misleading information during the application process), their moral character or ethical standards, their fitness for graduate medical study at GUSOM (including, but not limited to, failure to comply with the AAMC Application and Acceptance Protocols), or their fitness to practice medicine.

Applicants are responsible for promptly informing the Office of Admissions of any changes to their application to ensure that all information remains accurate and up to date.
